Our team loves partnering with technology innovators leading the way in hardware, software and services, but recently we’ve had the opportunity to work with a totally different kind of leader—Kanstul Musical Instruments. Many professional players consider Kanstul instruments the finest in the world. The company designs and builds the fullest line of brass instruments available, from piccolo trumpets to concert tubas, and they do it all in their factory in Anaheim.
Our first assignments included design for their presence at the music industry’s big NAMM show this year, including a poster that traces a timeline from 1824 up to the present, showing an unbroken lineage of master builders, leading to Zigmant Kanstul.
We followed that up with a print ad for the model 1603, a re-issue of the Martin Committee, a legendary trumpet used by jazz giants such as Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis.
